On February 16, 2024, a seminar addressing the critical issue of human trafficking awareness was conducted from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Carmel Seva Trust Bidar Unit by Sisters Maria Reetha and Priva D'Souza. There were 30 participants.
During the seminar, participants were enlightened about the harsh reality of human trafficking within our country, specifically focusing on the trafficking of men, women, and children in the district. The methods employed by traffickers were illustrated through real-life examples and a documentary film.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion, where participants collaboratively devised measures to prevent and combat human trafficking within our 20 villages. This seminar aimed to give awareness and empower the community to take proactive steps in eradicating this heinous act from our society.
