Carmel Seva Trust Bidar Unit News

On the 9th of March 2024, the Carmel Seva Trust Bidar Unit commemorated International Women's Day at St. Joseph Church Hall. Miss Kavitha Hushare, a member of the District Consumer Court, inaugurated the event, emphasizing that a child's learning journey commences in the womb of the mother. The members of Self-Help Group 550 took part in this program.

The program featured various cultural performances, including a Street Play on Anti-Human Trafficking by CST staff, dances, and the honouring of women who have made significant progress in their status of life. Skits on Gram Panchayat Meetings, Voting Rights, Alcoholism Control, and an awareness song on HIV by the Self-Help Group (SHG) women and students of Carmel Vocational Training Institute were also part of the event.
