A rally was organized on 25th of November 2024 by the Carmel Seva Trust in Sultanapur village to raise awareness about the elimination of gender-based violence. 34 women and 15 men from the village participated in the rally, marching from the Government school to Basaveshwara Circle while chanting slogans against violence toward women.
Sister Gladis Fernandes, Director of Carmel Seva Trust Bidar Unit, emphasized the importance of society respecting women and stated that violence against women is an affront to humanity. She assured that the Trust would continue to organize awareness programs to prevent such violence in every village. Village Panchayat member Steven also addressed the rally. The event was attended by Sr. Christine Misquith, Sr. Priya D'Souza, and the staff of Carmel Seva Trust, Bidar.
