Jagadevi w/o Gangarama hails from Gunalli. She is a member of self help group and regular in her Savings and repayment. She borrowed loan from SHG and put up a petty shop. Covid19 affected her very badly. She lost her taste for food and became very feeble. She was hospitalized for treatment. When the hospital bill came up to Rs.1 lakh, she couldn't accept it and went in depression. The social worker regularly visited her and helped her to think positively and also she was treated by the psychiatric doctor which made her to recover completely to normal health. Free treatment was given to her by the doctor and Carmel Seva Trust gave her financial aid for medication. She took nearly two years to recover. Now she enjoys total health and sound mind. She is working now and is very grateful to CST organization for giving her second lease of life.

Lalamma 65, from Malegaon village of Bidar District, had lost her husband and was living with her children. Her skin was affected and diagnosed as having leprosy symptoms. Knowing this sickness her own son separated her from him. Everyone kept her away. The segregation made her dejected and loneliness crept in. Somewhat she grasped strength from the prayer which enabled her to accept the anguish of hers. When Carmel Seva Trust Sisters visited her place she expressed her feelings. The sisters directed her to the hospital to get treatment. The Organization saw to all the hospital expenses in order to give back her good health.
Once she was recovered she started getting free tablets every month and sandals for her feet once in six months from the Government hospital as the social workers helped her to get these facilities. During covid19 food kits were given to her and also during Christmas she was given one set of dress. Ration is given by the neighboring families. There is so much improvement in her life; she is happy and grateful to the Organization for helping her to get back the good health.
